Our brief was to create a home fit for modern family life. The existing kitchen was dark and lacking in space while the conservatory was no longer fit for purpose. With an existing snug already in place, our focus was on the rear of the property, creating the open plan kitchen, dining and living space our clients dreamed of.
We proposed the removal of the existing conservatory and rear wall to create a fantastic open plan space. Skylights and sliding folding doors were included to fill the room with natural light and connect the space to the rear garden. The kitchen was designed with a mixture of dark shaker doors with a contrasting island unit, paired with a light solid surface worktop. Industrial touches like exposed steel and brickwork brought individuality to the design, something the client was keen to achieve.
Our clients love to entertain so included within the space was a bespoke bar area with plenty of storage for their favourite tipple. Practicality was a key consideration so as well as plenty of storage within the kitchen, the utility area was also designed to cater for the storage of coats and shoes as well as space for appliances and a dedicated area for drying clothes.
This project is currently on site: we can’t wait to see this come to life and for our client to enjoy living in their new home.
